Vancil the Great

Vancil was a legendary wizard from the late Four Brothers Era. Inventor of the nine schools of magic. He lived in what is now Vatharond, in the outskirts of a kingdom. He was a polyglot and polymath and also practicing as a physician, classics scholar, translator, governor, diplomat and economist. Vancil never married or had children.
He is the father of Vancian magic.
He and his apprentices created the first Council of Nine.
Biography
Early life
His father was a merchant and his mother was the daughter of a wealthy merchant. Vancil was the youngest of four children.
