"Orcs are not men."
Lucy III

The Orcwars were a series of battles that took place between 1009 and 1040 NS. Though the fighting was spread out through a number of separated battles, it was vicious none the less.

The wars saw the fall and rise of many noble families as sons and fathers marched off to massive battles and never came home. This was the beginning of the rise to prominence of many merchant families in nobility, where beforehand most noble families came from conquering warriors.

Adbrynu Culture

"Adbrynu" means redemption in the elven language. This time is often seen as the regaining of Nora's soul, which was lost during the Hellgate Wars.

Romanticism

A resurgence of the ideals of virtue and righteousness came into the core of Nora. Tales of gallant knights and ladies. Knights retook more strict vows to create an ideal that clashed against the ravaging evil of the orcs. Scholors wrote treatieses on moral pjilosophy and poets wrote of virtue and love.
