Noran callings

Noran callings are monosyllabic names placed between the given name and the surname. Traditionally used by Fainish Royalty, the usage has spread and is now common among peasantry and even used by other races.

Middle names are given based on gender and birth order and can be modified on situational births, such as when the child is blessed by a priest or an omen presents itself

The names are usually given through birth order, so a couple with a boy, then a girl, then a boy, the names would be ab, don and then fir.
