The mironel is a creature similar to a winged lion and a distant cousin to the griffon. It has a light colored or sometimes white coat, with a bright blue mane. The mironel is capable of flight and is often used as a mount, notably by the Lindblum Mironel Guard. They live in western Nora and is a national symbol of Ilefain.

Males are known to live up to thirty years, though females can live for over forty. In the wild, they live in groups called prides and hunt elk and buffalo.

A sport played with mironels in an arena featuring several riders in teams. They score points and the winners are honored by the city.
