Edward Stratford, more widely known as Lord Stratford, was an Alexandrian poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer of the common language. His surviving works consist of 19 plays, 210 poems and 4 operas.

His nickname grew out of his tendency to play nobles as an actor, though he never achieved nobility himself.
