Lord Ebenezer Whitmore II, called Eben by those who knows him, is the Baron of Aecyeldshire, Lord of Aecyeld and patron of the House of Whitmore. He took over from his father, Archibald Whitmore, in 1369. Archibald Whitmore and his brother Ebenezer I, had accrued a massive debt to the House of Purple.
Eben attended the University of Jaress and returned to his home determined to pay off his family's debt. He did this by reorganizing the tax distribution and reworking the wool trade. He also reopened the mining facilities with the help of the House of Chevalier, though he made it clear that children were not to be used in mining labor. He has proven himself to be an intelligent businessman and a hands on leader of the community, granting him great favor with both the shepherds and the manufacturers.
Though often short on manners and over burdened with cynicism, Lord Whitmore follows a strict code of ethics, insisting on honesty, forthrightness and chivalry. He also adheres to a more strict code of business ethics than many of his peers.
Lord Whitmore speaks fluent dwarven and deals with the Gelb Clan of dwarves often, though he remains cautious in his dealings. Some say he is paranoid that the dwarves will decide to invade the town, a danger other sheldlings do not acknowledge.
