Book of Trees

The Lyfir Otren, also known as the Book of Trees is a set of holy writings attributed directly to the twin gods Yunis and Helos. While the writing itself is found in book form, the original writing is located in Three Hand Grove.

The book contains knowledge of the natural world, as well as the ways of fey and the primal spirits. It also reveals information about the planes and the natural history of adnas.

The original language is an ancient elven dialect, different from the sylvan language of the eladrin.

An unusual aspect of the original script is that it is non-linear. There is no order to the writings and they tend to jump around in topic. Likewise it has no true beginning or end, the words merely cycling. Common-language writing translations tend to re-order the writings to make them more coherent to humans.
