Gergel, son of Kozma, also known by his apprentice name Blotch, was the apprentice to the wizard Zenonas. He was sent to the Stolen Lands by his master to find secrets of ancient elven magic.

Biography
Early life
Both parents are alive. 1 older sister.
Is from a village. Parents are con artists.
Apprenticeship under Zenonas
Master stole him from his parents. Blotch was put to task by his master copying mundane histories, bards tales, folklore.
Knew Kjellen Grassen, a neutral mercenary helped define Blotch's moral center. Taught him how the world works. tempering force - crush idealism.
Rival apprentice was punished due to Blotch excessive recklessness. Broke his hands - can no long cast magic. Over jealousy, was better than him and got less beating from the master. His staff belongs to the other apprentice.
Stolen Lands
Zenonas received a letter request help from House Sollemnus and in response he sent Blotch. He gave Blotch instructions to seek ancient elven magics from the northern forest.
After a debate over the fates of their captured bandits, Blotch took several of them and took residence in the river fort. He gave his servants collars and began the process of rebuilding the fort to proper standards.
Appearance and personality
Blotch is very unassuming looking. He is small and slight with a head of curly hair.
He is very shy and seems uncomfortable in social situations. This shy shell seems to disappear when placed in authority over others, gaining an overpowering (and sometimes ruthless) demeanor. This may be due to his upbringing under Zenonas.
He dislikes riding horses and isn't fond of the creatures in general.
